Alina Nelega at hotINK - An International Festival of Play Readings
Now in its seventh year, hotINK is a unique collaboration with the international theatre community, featuring readings of new work by U.S. writers Eduardo Machado, Mac Wellman, Jason Grote, Bill Cain, Crystal Skillman and Anna Ziegler as well as plays from Guadaloupe, France, Quebec/Lebanon, Sweden, Belarus, Canada, the U.K. and featuring, from Romania: "Amelia Breathes Deeply" by Alina Nelega--a one-woman narrative of modern Romanian history, through and beyond Ceausescu’s communist regime, told from the perspective of Amelia, ages 15 to 65, with candor, incisiveness, irony and affection, and directed by Tea Alagić (director of the highly acclaimed Public Theater production of "The Brothers Size".)
