Performance & demo: The Wolcz Method in Commedia dell'Arte

Recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award from Columbia University, actor and director Niky Wolcz is also a respected authority on Commedia dell’Arte. He developed a method of working with the actor that has been extremely well received by professionals all over the world.

Invited by RCINY, Niky Wolcz gathers former and current students to create the first public performance and demonstration of his method in Commedia dell'Arte. The recording of the show will feature as a special DVD in the upcoming book on Commedia dell’Arte by Niky Wolcz.

New York has been, for the last 30 years, the most important scene of the revival of Commedia dell'Arte in contemporary theatre - Nicky Wolcz's contribution to this revival is put on show at the Schapiro Theatre of Columbia University, on March 22, at 8 PM.
