Works by Mona Vătămanu, Florin Tudor (Andreiana Mihail Gallery), Adrian Ghenie, Ciprian Mureşan and Navid Nuur (Galeria Plan B) will be on display on Randall’s Island Park.

Frieze New York presents the most forward-thinking galleries from around the globe, bringing an international focus to the dynamic contemporary art scene in New York.

In addition to being able to see work by over 1,000 of the world’s leading artists, visitors can experience Frieze Projects, the fair’s program of artists’ commissions, and Frieze Talks, a program of debates, panel discussions and keynote lectures.

Frieze New York is housed in a bespoke temporary structure designed by New York-based SO-IL architects. Located in the unique setting of Randall’s Island Park, Manhattan, and overlooking the East River, the fair is easily accessible by public transport. Dedicated Frieze ferry and bus services are included in the admission price.

The New York art fair is intended to be an international showing, with the Frieze Art Fair London regulars setting up stall next to new comers. There will be 160 international galleries from 28 countries, including usual suspects from Europe and UK, alongside galleries from China, Brazil, India, Mexico, Romania, Israel, and South Africa. There’s is also a good showing from local New York galleries, 32 in total.

Like the London fair, young galleries are represented, in London there is Frame, a space dedicated to galleries less than six years old, and The New York fair will also be introducing Focus, a section for galleries opened in or after 2001 showing a presentation of up to three gallery artists.
