On Monday, April 23, legendary Romanian director Andrei Şerban, internationally acclaimed maker of groundbreaking theater, joins F. Murray Abraham, Oscar winning actor and member of The Open Theater with Joe Chaiken, for an intimate conversation about their work and career at La MaMa and beyond.

The two extremely celebrated artists will discuss the actor-director relationship as well as their work and careers at La MaMa and beyond, including the landmark 1983 La MaMa production of Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, directed by Mr. Serban with a cast that featured Mr. Abraham along with Joe Chaiken, founder of the groundbreaking Open Theater.

As part of the La MaMa's 50th Anniversary season, the Monday Night series celebrates La MaMa Alumni who have been instrumental in shaping La MaMa’s legacy. These monthly evenings support artistic residencies to ensure that future generations of artists will have a creative home at La MaMa.
