Theatre and the Holocaust in Romania: The Journals of Mihail Sebastian, Woodrow Wilson Center, Washington D.C. Romania officially condemned her involvement in the European Holocaust following the Elie Wiesel Commission Report of 2004. A first-person account of the being Jewish in Bucharest under fascist dictatorship is given by playwright and novelist, Mihail Sebastian, in his diary. Adapted for the stage by David Auburn in 2004, Sebastian comes to life in this one-man show based on his journal.

Tamas Dezso: The Dignity of Isolation, NYC On August 2nd, Tamas Dezso's captivating photos of rural Romania will be exhibited at The Half King. From 2003-2007, Dezso documented Romania's villages as the countrie's impending EU membership came closer. Motivated by the "romantic and naive idea" of showing Hungarians how Romanians live (Dezso is Hungarian), Dezso made over ten trips during his five-year project.

Andra Ursuta at Ramiken Crucible, NYC Ramiken presents Vandal Lust, Andra Ursuta's second solo exhibition in New York, following The Management of Barbarism at Ramiken Crucible's previous location on East Broadway. A new chapter in Ursuta’s cheerfully self-injurious flirtation with selected legacies of the past, the show was loosely conceived as an updated version of Ilya Kabakov’s 1984 installation The Man Who Flew Into Space From His Apartment.
