10 years after...with Saviana Stănescu
"I celebrate 10 years of a very special love-affair: New York and me. (Well, I can’t guarantee for the city’s feelings, just for mine)
Late August 2001. Arriving here for the first time. A suitcase, a Fulbright grant and, of course, a personal version of the American Dream spiced up with hope and renewed idealism. High spirits. Clear Sky. NYU. Peace. And then… 9/11."

NOW IN STORES: Sanda Weigl and the Takeishis' New release GYPSY IN A TREE
Her new album Gypsy In a Tree finds Sanda reinventing the music of her Romanian roots with a brilliant cast of New York-based Japanese musicians, the brothers Stomu and Satoshi Takeishi, on electric bass and percussion, respectively, and Shoko Nagai on accordion, piano and Farfisa organ. In many ways the CD is a follow up to 2002’s acclaimed Gypsy Killer.
