Ciprian Muresan at David Nolan Gallery "Incorrigible Believers", an installation by Romanian artist Ciprian Muresan is featured in the project room at David Nolan Gallery as part of the exhibition "Morphological Mutiny," gathering recent paintings and works on paper by three New York artists: Steve DiBenedetto, Alexander Ross and James Siena.

Alex Rotaru's "They Came to Play" US theatrical release Following its premiere at the Rockefeller University and Walter Reade Theatre at Lincoln Center in February 2009, the documentary They Came to Play, by Romanian director Alex Rotaru, will be released in theatres in the US. Washington, DC is the first city in the 50 city schedule on October 25 at 5 PM, at the Avalon Theatre.

YALE STROM: Lost Jewish music found in Carei, RO In the summer of 2008, musician Yale Strom traveled to Romania and discovered a musical treasure trove. In the upstairs women's balcony of the 1871 synagogue of Carei he found a box of old books including the cantor's music book with over 250 melodies notated by hand.
