Ms. Hasnas'  (b. 1954) compositions are mostly chamber pieces for a wide range of instruments such as string quartet, trio for oboe, piano and cello and quintet for piano, cello, violin, viola and clarinet – all gathered in the cycle Evolutio, two winds quintets entitled The Voices of Mioritza and Inner Voices, or the Polychromie  for seven instruments and tape. Ms. Hasnas also composed songs for soprano and string trio –The Time (with versed by Romanian poet Nichita Stănescu), or The Earth, for mezzo-soprano, ensemble and tape (verses by poet Ion Barbu). She collaborated as composer to several documentary and feature films. One of her latest piece is The Rooster – a study starting from the Constatin Brâncuşi’s work of the same title, a musical evocation of the famous sculpture for three instruments – violin, piano and clarinet.
