![]() Andra Matzal was born in Oltenita, Romania, in 1982. She graduated Philosophy at the University of Bucharest; MA courses in Anthropology at the National School of Political Studies in Bucharest and the Institute of Anthropology in Perugia, Italy, focusing mainly on gaming communities. She worked as a librarian at Carturesti Bookshop, she wrote for Igloo, a publication dedicated to architecture & urban space, and is currently a cultural journalist for Cotidianul newspaper. She has recently started to write art reviews for Dilema Veche magazine. Andra Matzal translated in Romanian novels by Irvine Welsh, Jonathan Safran Foer, Hubert Selby Jr., and an album about street art worldwide. |
