The launching of the first foreign-language edition of the "Times Book Review" in Romania was positively reviewed in the "The New York Times" magazine.

"But perhaps you are hearing it here first: the Romanian new wave has arrived," wrote A.O. Scott in his New York Times Magazine feature on the "New Wave on the Black Sea" on January 20, 2008, the largest feature to date dedicated to Romanian cinema by the US media.

The Boston Phoenix featured enthusiastically in the October 1, 2007 issue the Romanian movies presented at The New Romanian Cinema Program, Harvard Film Archive.

The retrospective of the work of Romanian artists Dan Perjovschi and Lia Perjovschi at The Nasher Museum, Duke University, was featured in the September-October 2007 issue of Duke Magazine.

The two performances "Bucharest Calling" and "The Sunshine Play", by Peca Stefan, directed by Ana Margineanu, at 45 Bleecker Theatre, enjoyed positive reviews in the New York media.
