Shining Through... Media
The retrospective presenting the first historical overview of Romanian cinema in America after 1989, "Shining through a Long, Dark Night: Romanian Cinema, Then and Now", April 16-27,  2008, Lincoln Center, Walter Reade Theater, was enjoyed by the New York public and largely featured both in the US and Romanian media.

U.S. Reviews of Maria Raducanu at Symphony Space and Joe's Pub
The Romanian Cultural Institute in New York presented Maria Raducanu, one of the most original singers in Romania's jazz history, together with two international outstanding musicians: Kristen Jonssan (guitar) and Chris Dahlgren (double-bass).

An American delegation at TIFF 2010
RCINY and the Romanian Cultural Institute supported the presence at TIFF 2010 of the first delegation of American film professionals, including Scott Foundas (Film Society of Lincoln Center), publicist Susan Norget, programmer and critic Alissa Simon (Palm Springs, Variety), distributor Daniel Elefante (Kino Lorber Films) and Basil Tsiokos (indieWire).

"The Seductiveness of the Interval" in the U.S. Press
In partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York and Bucharest, the Renaissance Society at The University of Chicago presented The Seductiveness of the Interval, the project curated by Alina Şerban and featured at the Romanian Pavilion of the 2009 Venice Biennale, to great critical acclaim. The work of three Romanian artists – Ştefan Constantinescu, Andrea Faciu and Ciprian Mureşan – was exhibited in a two-story architectural structure designed by the studioBASAR architectural group specifically for that purpose.

Romanian Cinema featured in the NYTimes
"But perhaps you are hearing it here first: the Romanian new wave has arrived," wrote A.O. Scott in his New York Times Magazine feature on the "New Wave on the Black Sea" on January 20, 2008, the largest feature to date dedicated to Romanian cinema by the US media.
