Some of the films selected and presented at THREE, the third edition of the Annual Romanian Film Festival in New York (Tribeca Cinemas, December 5-7, 2008) were enthusiastically reviewed in The Epoch Times and other NYC publications or websites.

New Yorkers were introduced to the works of nine young Romanian composers on November 11, in a free concert performed by young Romanian musicians and presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York. 

With RCINY support, Romanian artists team Mona Vatamanu and Florin Tudor presented their most recent project, Appointment with History, at the Lombard Fried Projects gallery in New York City (September-October 2008). The exhibition and lecture were featured by Johanna Burton in the November 2008 issue of Artforum.

The September 4 premiere of "Fela!", the Off Broadway musical by Bill T. Jones, was received with outstanding reviews by the American press, which has also praised the set and costume designs bearing the signature of Romanian artists Marina Draghici, Nuclear Fairy, Irlo and Omar

The exhibition organized by Robert Else Gallery, California State University, Sacramento, CA, with RCINY support, was positively reviewed in the local media.

RCINY organized in July 2008 a US tour celebrating the release of "The Romanian-American Jazz Suite" by Sam Newsome & Lucian Ban Ensemble. The concerts (in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston) and the CD received both an audience success and enthusiastic reviews from the American press.

The extraordinary concert organized by RCINY on July 5, 2008, was included in the music listing of the prestigious Time Out New York, with a very enthusiastic description.

Undertitled "A Celebration of Romanian Street Art", this exhibition received praise from the New York Magazine, and an extensive coverage and debate in the Romanian language media.
