Nov 2008 "Under 30" featured by Sequenza 21 & Musical America New Yorkers were introduced to the works of nine young Romanian composers on November 11, in a free concert performed by young Romanian musicians and presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York.

Nov 2008 "Appointment with History" reviewed in Artforum With RCINY support, Romanian artists team Mona Vatamanu and Florin Tudor presented their most recent project, Appointment with History, at the Lombard Fried Projects gallery in New York City (September-October 2008). The exhibition and lecture were featured by Johanna Burton in the November 2008 issue of Artforum.

July-Aug 2008 Romanian-American Jazz Suite in a US Tour RCINY organized in July 2008 a US tour celebrating the release of "The Romanian-American Jazz Suite" by Sam Newsome & Lucian Ban Ensemble. The concerts (in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston) and the CD received both an audience success and enthusiastic reviews from the American press.
