Rebel Waltz: Underground Music From Behind the Iron Curtain, featuring the romanian band Timpuri Noi was very well received by the press.

The Romanian Films FIRST OF ALL, FELICIA, by Răzvan Rădulescu and Melissa de Raaf, and POLICE, ADJECTIVE by Corneliu Porumboiu, presented at The AFI FEST L.A., were featured in L.A. Weekly.

„TIME IN THE TECHNOCRATIC ERA“, a special event launching "Psihonautica", by the  New York-based writer Paul Doru Mugur, was featured in NY Art Beat.

The US premiere of ENESCU re-IMAGINED, by Lucian Ban and John Hebert, presented by The Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, on September 20th, 2009,  was selected in the top live shows by Time Out New York.

The journey of the Traveling Academy, started in 2007 under the inspiring guidance of acclaimed U.S.-Romanian theatre director Andrei Serban, continued this year with ten new actors and a third project presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York. The event was featured in The New York Times.

The three Romanian films selected this year at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival: POLICE, ADJECTIVE, by Corneliu Porumboiu (this year's winner of the Grand Jury Award and the FIPRESCI Award of the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival); TALES FROM THE GOLDEN AGE , co-written and co-directed by Cristian Mungiu; and THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD, by Radu Jude, had reviews in The New York Times and other important publications.

Corneliu Porumboiu's new film, POLICE, ADJECTIVE presented in  US premiere at the New York Film Festival, was reviewed in The New York Times, The Village Voice and other important publications.

Sasha Meret's show "Precious Aggression. An Obsessive Reflection", presented at RCINY, was featured in the July number of NY ART BEAT.

Yoshiko Chuma's performance POONARC: A Page Out of Order: Not About Romanian Cinema at Danspace Project , organized with support from RCINY, had reviews in The Village Voice and The New York Times.
