September 25 - October 6, 2009 Andrei Serban Traveling Academy in NYC The journey of the Traveling Academy, started in 2007 under the inspiring guidance of acclaimed U.S.-Romanian theatre director Andrei Serban, continued this year with ten new actors and a third project presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York. The event was featured in The New York Times.

May-October 2009 "Police, Adjective" in the U.S. press “Police, Adjective”, the latest film by Corneliu Porumboiu, has received a great critical reception in the U.S. media starting his screening in Cannes, where it won the Grand Jury Award and the FIPRESCI Award of the Un Certain Regard section, and the more so after its U.S. premiere at New York Film Festival, and currently as it opened in U.S. theatres.
