Sabina Ulubeanu Ulubeanu’s works for solo instruments, chamber and symphonic works have been performed in Romania and abroad, and she is also an accomplished pianist. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Music in Bucharest.

Matei Varga Matei Varga is already established as one of the leading young artists of his native Romania and his prodigious talent is fast becoming recognized in the United States and Europe. His October 2008 debut performance at Zankel Hall was described by Rorianne Schrade of New York Concert Review as “masterful, [with] tremendous dynamic range [and showing] an exceptional mind at work”, whereas his account of Schumann’s Fantasy op. 17 at the Berlin Konzerthaus in August 2009 was hailed by Wolfgang Schrieber of Süddeutsche Zeitung as “magical”.

Mircea Veroiu Born in 1941, actor, screenwriter and film director Mircea Veroiu was one of the most ingenious filmmakers of the 1970s generation. He directed, together with Dan Piţa, two remarkable films—The Stone Wedding and Lust for Gold—both inspired by the short stories of a Romanian classic author.

Matei Vişniec Playwright, poet and journalist Matei Vişniec was born in Romania, and lives in Paris since 1987. He began writing for the theatre in 1977. Early in his career Visniec's plays were banned by the Romanian censors. After the fall of communism, Matei Vişniec has become one of the most frequently performed authors in Romania. His plays have also been staged in more than 20 countries.
