The MONDAY Theatre returns at the NY Fringe
"... the ideal kind of Fringe show -- funny, ironic, provocative, and well performed." - Dan Bacalzo, Theatermania
The MONDAY Theatre at Green Hours (Bucharest) returns for the third time to New York City to present one of its most controversial productions – "Nils’ Fucked Up Day", written and directed by Peca Ştefan. This is also the second participation of the MONDAY Theatre at the New York Fringe Festival, following a series of performances in 2007.
"Nils’ Fucked Up Day" won the first edition of the most important competition for young Romanian playwrights, dramAcum (2002), and had its premiere only in 2008, being described at the time as the “most obscene play in the Romanian theatre”. Nils’ Fucked Up Day is a mix of Romanian and English, powered by a great cast of young actors and one of the best VJs in Romania (Cinty), combining multimedia, interactivity and a very inciting way to look at the world and its stereotypes, in the tradition of free spirit and quality acting brought into play by The MONDAY Theatre at Green Hours.
