Enter: The Screenwriters of the Romanian New Wave
Much has been written about the directors of the Romanian new wave. RCINY changes the focus this time, bringing into the spotlight the screenwriters of the recent Romanian films in a dialogue moderated by film critics Mihai Chirilov (director of Transilvania International Film Festival) and Jay Weissberg (Variety).
Don't miss the chance to meet Razvan Radulescu (photo), the (co-)writer behind "Stuff and Dough," "The Death of Mr. Lazarescu," "The Paper Will Be Blue", "Boogie", or "Gruber's Journey" (among others), and this year, also author of a film he co-directed, "Felicia, First of All," and Andreea Valean, screenwriter of "The Way I Spent the End of the Word" or "Traffic".
Joining them at this special event will be Chilean writer-director Sebastian Silva, whose feature "The Maid" is the winner of this year's Sundance Festival World Cinema section.
The event also marks the opening of the Carturesti showcase - an extensive exhibition of Romanian books, CDs and DVDs, in both Romanian and English, to be highlighted and delved into in a series of weekly events.
